Born in Greece in 1992, Filippos Sakagian began his musical training at Alimos Music High School in Athens. He then continued his studies in France at Paris 8 University where he did his Bachelor of Musicology. He became interested in contemporary music and began to study composition with Martin Loridan at the St. Ouen Conservatory. He then joined the CRR of Paris in the composition class of Édith Canat de Chizy and also followed the courses of electroacoustic composition of Régis Renouard Larivière. Graduate of the 1st prize of composition (congratulations and SACEM prize) two years later, he continued his studies at the PSPBB with Jean-Luc Hervé before joining the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP). He is currently studying composition with Stefano Gervasoni and new technologies with Yann Geslin, Grégoire Lorieux, Yan Maresz, Luis Naon, and Oriol Saladriguez. From October 2019 he is a member of the HELMCA (Hellenic Electroacoustic Music Composers Association).
